How Skill Development Is Making Rural Women Financially Independent

Empowering women with practical vocational skills is one of the most effective strategies for community uplifting. In rural regions of Bihar, women often face severe constraints regarding independent income and financial security.

Through our dedicated training centers in Banka and Jamui, Kanya Samridhi Welfare Foundation provides hands-on courses in tailoring, embroidery, handicraft production, and basic financial literacy. These skills enable women to establish self-help micro-enterprises and support their household expenses.

When a woman earns, she invests over 90% of her income back into her children’s health, nutrition, and schooling. This creates a sustainable cycle of progress across the entire village, fostering greater gender equality and self-reliance.
